This event will be held on October 10th - 11th. It will cost $155 per person to attend.

Nause-Waiwash Native American Festival

The 23rd annual Nause-Waiwash Native American Festival will be held Saturday & Sunday, September 19-20 at the ball field in Vienna (MD).  The festival features traditional dancing (Grand Entry at Noon each day), authentic native food, demonstrations & displays, vendors, a silent & live auction, bake sale, crafts, raffles & more.  Admission is $5 (children 6 and under enter free).  Hours are Saturday (9/19) 10am-5pm, and Sunday (9/20) 10am-4pm.  Directions:  follow the signs from route 50 to Vienna (between Cambridge and Salisbury).  Enter Vienna and follow the signs to the Festival at the ball field.

Blasting For The Brave

Blasting for the Brave will be held on September 19th at Pintail Point. This is a family event for shooters and non-shooters alike! We hope you will join us in celebrating the men and women of our armed forces with a fun-filled day of shooting, fishing, and entertainment. All experience levels are welcome on the course with shotguns and basic instruction available at each station. Ammunition will not be included in the registration fee. The tournament will be a rolling start and scorecards must be returned by 12:30pm. The event starts at 8:30am

CBMM Charity Boat Auction

The 18th annual Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum Charity Boat Auction will take place Labor Day Weekend, Saturday, September 5, 2015.  Gates open at 8am; Tag Sale 9am; BBQ 10am; Auction 11am; Beer 10:30am.
Free for members and children under age six. General admission is $5 per person until 11am. Afterward, regular admission rates apply.

Queen Anne's County Free Library Events

The Queen Anne's County Library is planning some fun events starting September 1st.

Miss Jenny, children's librarian, will have Mother Goose on the Loose for all young people from 3-36 months, with a caregiver, Tuesdays at 10:30am Sept. 1-8th, and Sept. 22-Oct. 27th.

There will be story Time for those ages 2-5, with an adult, on Wednesdays Sept. 2-9th and Sept. 23-Oct. 28th beginning at 10:30am. There will be stories, songs, rhymes and movement, followed by a craft.

On three Thursdays young people in grades 6-8 will learn how to Train Your Robot using the code with Finch Robots and Scratch Software. This will be at 6:00pm on Sept. 3rd, 10th, and 17th. This activity requires registration.

Caring for Family Treasures

A program with Vicki Lee, director of Conservation and Preservation at the Maryland State Archives, at the Queen Anne's County Library in Centreville in June has been re-scheduled. The program on Caring for Family Treasures, will be held at the Library on August 25th at 6:30 pm. Miss Lee will share information on how to best store and handle your various family treasures. On August 22, Ravens Nest #20 of QAC is hosting a Ravens Kickoff Bash & Charity Event from 3- 7pm at Good Guys Sports Bar in Centreville.

Longaberger Basket Bingo

The Crumpton VFD Auxiliary is hosting the Longaberger Basket Bingo on Friday, August 21, at the Crumpton Firehouse.

The doors are open at 6:00pm with the games beginning at 7:00pm. There will also be a 50/50, Raffle, and Doorprizes. Bring a non-perishable item for the food pantry and receive an extra doorprize ticket.

$20.00 at the door with free refreshments at intermission.
